TMJ treatment and splint therapy – CMD
Mandibular joints and masticatory muscles are constantly exposed to high pressure. In the long run, a malposition of the mandibular joints and the masticatory muscles can lead to various complaints. These range from audible sounds of the mandibular joints such as cracking or rubbing to pain during jaw and chewing movements. But also painful tension of the shoulder and neck area may indicate a craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD). We treat both premature dentition in children and teenagers as well as a malalignment in adulthood.
